1. Introduction of the IPPC Directive in Turkey
CLIENT: EVD/Ministry for Environment and Forestry.
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Providing assistance in the implementation of the IPPC Directive 96/61/EC in the framework of Turkey’s accession to the European Union in order to modernise the licensing and enforcement structure
PERIOD: 2003/2004 and 2006/2007
SCOPE OF WORK: Technical assistance, institutional strengthening, training, pilot projects
2. Concistency Check of propgramme packages for EU financing to Turkey
CLIENT: European Commission/CFCU
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Consistency check of projects and programmes proposed by Turkish Government to be financed by EU as pre-accession assistance. MOB was responsible for the supervision of the consistency check work (MOB delivered Team Leader of the consistency check team) for the programmes and projects proposed by Turkey in 2005, 2006 and 2007. (total package was about 1.5 Billion Euros).
PERIOD: 2005, 2006 and 2007 (three assignments each year))
SCOPE OF WORK: Consistency check of project fiches, workshops with fiche drafters, recommendations for projects to be financed
3. Drafting of project fiches for transposition of the Wastes, Biocides and Noise Directives
CLIENT: European Commission/CFCU/Ministry for Environment and Forestry/Ministry of Health
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Providing assistance to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Ministry of Health to prepare the project fiches for the Environment 2004 programme. For waste this includes: Waste Catalogue(2000/532/EC), Waste Oil (75/439/EEC), PCB/PCT (96/59/EC), Used battery and accumulator (91/157/EEC and 98/101/EC), End of Life Vehicle (2000/53/EC). For Noise: Directive 2002/49/EC. For Biocides: Directive 98/8/EC. The fiches will form the basis for twinning projects with the aim to transpose above directives

SCOPE OF WORK: Technical assistance, identification of activities, drafting of project fiches, drafting of a supply tender dossier
4. Drafting of project fiches for transposition of the Chemicals Directives
CLIENT: European Commission/CFCU/Ministry for Environment and Forestry/Ministry of Health
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: Providing assistance to the Ministry of Environment and Forestry and the Ministry of Health to prepare the project fiche for Chemicals in the Environment 2003 programme. The fiche includes the Directives 67/548/EEC, 1999/45/EEC and two daughter Directives 91/155/EEC and 93/67/EEC. The fiches formed the basis for a twinning project with the aim to transpose the Chemicals Directives
